About The WiserhEART Center

Healing. Communication. Metaphysics.
What Is the WiserheART Center?
The WiserheART Center is the name under which Leslie offers her public spiritual, metaphysical, healing, and personal-development work. Rather than referring to a single physical location, the WiserheART Center represents an integrated body of services, teachings, practices, and community work. Leslie currently works with clients through online sessions, privately by arrangement, and at public events throughout Knoxville, Tennessee.

The WiserheART Center was created to make spiritual, metaphysical, healing, and communication-based knowledge accessible, practical, compassionate, and empowering.

Its work is organized into three interconnected areas:

1. Healing ARTS may include Usui Reiki and Holy Fire® Karuna Reiki®, chakra practices, meditation, mindfulness, crystal healing, angel healing, spiritual-entity clearing, and Dolores Cannon’s Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique (QHHT®), including past-life regression and spiritual exploration.

2. Communication ARTS may include communication and relationship coaching, conflict management, mediation-informed guidance, personal development, and practical tools for helping people communicate more consciously, understand relational patterns, strengthen boundaries, and navigate change.

3. Metaphysical ARTS may include Tarot and intuitive readings, oracle cards, the I Ching, Ogham, dowsing, spiritual education, energy awareness, and other practices that support intuition, reflection, self-understanding, and connection with spiritual wisdom.

Together, these three areas support healing, self-awareness, personal growth, empowered communication, and spiritual development.

The WiserheART Center formally began in 2012, although its roots extend back to 2010, when Leslie created the Metaphysical Salon of Knoxville through Meetup.com. The group grew to more than 350 members and remained active for 10 years, providing a community where people could explore metaphysical ideas, spiritual practices, and personal growth together.

Our Mission
The mission at The WiserheART Center is to offer empowering guidance and education for developing healthy relationships with the Self, Others, and the Divine. This is done by combining current social scientific and communication research with metaphysical techniques to create grounded and holistic solutions for people on the path of personal growth that integrate the Spirit, Mind, Heart, and Body.
Spiritual Change Management
Leslie is especially skilled at helping people feel grounded and rooted in the present while expanding their awareness of the choices available to them. She helps clients recognize patterns, explore possibilities, and identify constructive next steps in their healing, relationships, communication, and personal growth. Her approach is uplifting, compassionate, supportive, and empowering. She makes complex metaphysical philosophies and esoteric tools understandable and accessible while remaining grounded in her strong social-scientific and communication background. Rather than asking clients to surrender their judgment or personal power, Leslie encourages them to develop deeper self-understanding, strengthen their own intuition, and make choices that support their healing and spiritual evolution.

A concept connecting much of Leslie’s work is Spiritual Change Management. Leslie offers guidance in Spiritual Change Management, helping you get unstuck or handle times of great transformation. Change can touch relationships, communication, identity, spiritual beliefs, work, personal direction, and our understanding of meaning and purpose. Spiritual Change Management brings together the different dimensions of The WiserheART Center—communication, personal development, reflection, spiritual practice, intuitive exploration, and practical tools—to help people navigate periods of change with greater awareness. The goal is not to make choices for another person, but to help people become more grounded, recognize patterns and possibilities, reconnect with their own wisdom, and approach change with greater intention.
Why “WiserheART”?
The name WiserheART grew from a series of art pieces Leslie created in 2011 (using the embroidery technique and sharpie marker on canvas) depicting four phases of the heart:

Untouched Heart.

A Key to My Heart.

Aching Heart.

Wiser Heart.

The premise behind the series was that hearts can be hurt, but they can also emerge healed and with greater wisdom.
The ART in WiserheART is capitalized intentionally. It represents the creative and inspired work that can help us heal, communicate, understand ourselves, strengthen our relationships, explore Spirit, and create more meaningful lives.
That idea continues through the three interconnected areas of the Center: Healing ARTS. Communication ARTS. Metaphysical ARTS.
The WiserheART Center Philosophy
At the center of the WiserheART philosophy is the belief that all life is interconnected and arises from the Divine Source of All Things.
Because of this fundamental oneness, individual healing is never entirely separate from the healing of relationships, communities, humanity, other sentient beings, and the larger world. The WiserheART Center works toward the aspiration that all sentient beings may experience happiness and the roots of happiness, be free from suffering and the roots of suffering, and live with greater joy and equanimity. This aspiration is not based on the belief that life should contain no challenges. Rather, it reflects a commitment to reducing unnecessary suffering, increasing awareness, and helping people respond to their experiences with greater wisdom, compassion, choice, and spiritual understanding.

The Five Usui Reiki Principles provide central guidelines for the Center’s Reiki practice and influence its broader approach to healing and service:
  • Live with gratitude.
  • Be free from anger.
  • Be free from worry.
  • Work honestly.
  • Respect all life.
These principles are understood as ongoing practices rather than standards of perfection. They invite each person to become more mindful of their thoughts, emotions, actions, relationships, and impact on the world.

Seven Values at the Heart of WiserheART
Participants in WiserheART Center work are invited to approach spiritual practice, healing, teaching, and service through seven interconnected values:
  • Love (peace, compassion, and heart-centered action)
Love asks us to approach ourselves and others with compassion, patience, kindness, and care. It encourages healing without judgment and recognizes the humanity and spiritual dignity of every person. Love does not require the absence of boundaries; healthy boundaries can be one of its clearest expressions.
  • Light (Spirit, energy, and healing)
Light represents our connection to the Divine Source, spiritual awareness, life energy, and the possibility of healing.
It invites us to bring clarity into confusion, hope into discouragement, and conscious intention into our spiritual practices.
To work with light is also to remain aware of shadow, pain, and difficulty without allowing them to define the whole of a person’s experience.
  • Wisdom (mindfulness, scholarship, and intuition)
Wisdom joins spiritual insight with careful thought, study, reflection, and lived experience. The WiserheART Center values intuition, but it also values scholarship, evidence, observation, discernment, and continued learning. Wisdom requires both an open heart and an active mind.
  • Integrity (dignity, truth, and respect)
Integrity is essential whenever spiritual, healing, or divinatory tools are used to influence or guide others. It means being truthful about the nature and limits of one’s work, protecting privacy, honoring free will, respecting personal and spiritual differences, and refusing to use fear or authority to control another person. Integrity asks practitioners to treat every person with dignity and to take responsibility for the impact of their words and actions.
  • Joy (creativity, laughter, and beauty)
Spiritual development does not need to be solemn at all times. Joy is a meaningful part of healing. Creativity, laughter, play, music, art, beauty, celebration, and wonder can reconnect people with hope and with the vitality of life. Joy reminds us that spiritual practice can be profound while also being pleasurable, imaginative, and fun.
  • Manifestation (infinity, power, and purpose)
Manifestation refers to the process of bringing intentions, ideas, values, and possibilities into lived experience.
It recognizes that people possess creative power while also existing within relationships, circumstances, responsibilities, and larger systems. Meaningful manifestation is not simply wishing for an outcome; it involves clarity, aligned action, accountability, persistence, and a willingness to learn from experience.
  • Connection (public service, communication, and wholeness)
Connection reflects the understanding that healing occurs within relationships and communities as well as within individuals.
It includes compassionate communication, mutual support, public service, spiritual community, and the recognition that no part of life exists entirely in isolation. Through connection, people can experience a greater sense of belonging, purpose, and wholeness.

Love. Light. Wisdom. Integrity. Joy. Manifestation. Connection.

Together, these seven values form the heart of the WiserheART Center. They are intended to guide not only what the WiserheART Center offers, but how the work is performed. The goal is to provide spiritual and healing support that is compassionate without creating dependence, empowering without making unrealistic promises, intuitive without abandoning discernment, and uplifting without denying the complexity of human experience.

The WiserheART Center encourages participants to remain active partners in their own healing and development.
Spiritual guidance and healing arts can illuminate patterns, reveal possibilities, support reflection, and create space for insight, but each person retains responsibility for their own beliefs, choices, actions, boundaries, and life path.

At its heart, the WiserheART Center exists to help people connect more deeply with themselves, with others, with the wisdom of their own hearts, and with the Divine Source of All Things.
